Didn't reach as high as I was expecting

I am seriously struggling to complete this first novel let alone go through all this drama for another 3 books. I love the whole concept behind this story line. It is intriguing, certainly different and Pearce is not the normal Billionaire that you would expect. Rachel however... ugh she annoys the living hell out of me. Doormat material even though she wants to not be. I kind of found her to be childish and skipped through areas that just revolved around her. The couple seemed to have come together quickly and attached so fast, I am really wondering what will fill another 3 books.There were parts to the writing that I found to be flat sometimes. Like space filling. Now and then I would feel the emotion that Pearce was feeling however Rachel was like cardboard to me. I know my review is against the norm compared to others but show some respect and don't slag me. I am a heavy reader and enjoy all genres and therefore entitled to my opinion. I like to enjoy a book and not skip through. I think Ms Everhart did a good job however I feel like there could have been far more emotion placed to the story, and well just.... more.

I wanted to give it a shot though and I am glad I did

I have read the whole Jade series so I thought I check it out. At first I wasn't so sure because if you read the Jade Series you knew about Rachel and what happens. I wanted to give it a shot though and I am glad I did. At first I thought it was a bit slow but it really got good and kept me on reading and reading. I loved reading Pearce and Rachel's story. I love the way he treats her and how she treats him. I can totally see the traits Garrett got from both parents! I cannot wait for the next book! If you haven't read the Jade Series that's okay because you'll still understand it but for those of us who has it just adds to the story. Without giving out too much I hope the Pearce gets his HEA and that the author has something up her sleeve.

The Kensingtons are off to a great start!

I just discovered the Jade series a few months ago and when I was done reading them I was left so sad that I didn't have anymore to read about them, I was SO excited to find out about The Kensington series! Pearce has so many sides and it's been fun getting to know him better! I always knew I liked him! This book really shows you his struggle with his family and the organization but also the good side of him when he's with Rachel. I cannot wait to find out more about those two! And everything that happens to them. Keep those books coming Allie!

Essential book for all Otolaryngology residents!

This is a fantastic atlas for otolaryngology residents. The line drawings are excellent, and each chapter explains in step-by-step, practical fashion how to do a particular operation, with accompanying comments from multiple subspecialty experts. The operations range from simple (tracheotomy) to the difficult and cutting edge (transaxillary robotic-assisted thyroidectomy), and thus the book is appropriate for residents of all levels. As a senior resident, this book enhanced my understanding as I learned to do neck dissections and other head and neck cancer cases. My only disappointment about this book is that it was not available earlier in my residency. What a great idea. Many thanks to the authors who contributed!

It is very well written and it is easy to see the vast experience Dr Clayman has in this field. Perfect for ENT or general surgery residents, and a MUST for all head/neck fellows. You can't learn to perform head/neck/thyroid cancer surgery without this book and all the tips Dr Clayman gives.

About the Author
Dr. Preston Jones has been a Fulbright scholar and a fellow of the Pew Program in Religion and American History. He received his doctorate in History from the University of Ottawa (Canada) in 1999 and an M.A. in History from California State University at Sonoma in 1995.

Dr. Jones has taught courses in European, American, and world history at the secondary and university levels. He also teaches Latin. He has published over 200 articles in scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers. Currently he teaches at John Brown University in Arkansas.

Because the actual exam is computer-based, we recommend you take at least one practice test online to simulate test-day conditions.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE EXAM
The CLEP American Government exam consists of approximately 100 multiple-choice questions, each with five possible answer choices, to be answered in 90 minutes.

The exam covers the material one would find in a college-level introductory American government and politics course. The exam stresses topics such as the institutions and policy processes of the federal government, the federal courts and civil liberties, political parties and interest groups, political beliefs and behavior, and the content and history of the Constitution.

The approximate breakdown of topics is as follows:

30–35% Institutions and policy processes: presidency, bureaucracy, and Congress

15–20% Federal courts, civil liberties, and civil rights

15–20% Political parties and interest groups

10–15% Political beliefs and behavior

15–20% Constitutional underpinnings of American democracy

What is the CLEP?
CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in North America. CLEP exams are available in 33 subjects and test the material commonly required in an introductory-level college course. Examinees can earn from three to twelve credits at more than 2,900 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada. Who takes CLEP exams?
CLEP exams are typically taken by people who have acquired knowledge outside the classroom and who wish to bypass certain college courses and earn college credit. The CLEP program is designed to reward examinees for learning—no matter where or how that knowledge was acquired.

Although most CLEP examinees are adults returning to college, many graduating high school seniors, enrolled college students, military personnel, veterans, and international students take CLEP exams to earn college credit or to demonstrate their ability to perform at the college level. There are no prerequisites, such as age or educational status, for taking CLEP examinations. However, because policies on granting credits vary among colleges, you should contact the particular institution from which you wish to receive CLEP credit.

Who administers the exam?
CLEP exams are developed by the College Board, administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS), and involve the assistance of educators from throughout the United States. The test development process is designed and implemented to ensure that the content and difficulty level of the test are appropriate.

OPTIONS FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND VETERANS
CLEP exams are available free of charge to eligible military personnel and eligible civilian employees. All the CLEP exams are available at test centers on college campuses and military bases. Contact your Educational Services Officer or Navy College Education Specialist for more information. Eligible U.S. veterans can claim reimbursement for CLEP exams and administration fees pursuant to provisions of the Veterans Benefits Improvement Act of 2004. CLEP can be used in conjunction with the Post-9/11 GI Bill, which applies to veterans returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters of operation. missing alot

this is my fourth clep test I have taken using books from REA and I have always been extremely satisfied. However, I feel this book was missing alot of information that was on the test. I read the whole book for review and took the online practice tests and got 100% (composite score 80), but I barely passed the CLEP with a composite score of 55. Studying this book helped, but by itself may not be enough to pass the CLEP

I scored 39 studying this book only. Almost 75% of the actual test wasn't covered by this book, and the three preparation tests are nothing comparing to the real test. It was way harder. I don't recommend it.

Great

This is my second CLEP guide from REA (US history to 1877 being the first), and I had no problems with it. I read the book in three days, took all the tests, and passed with a 62 the next week. The book has a much better flow to it than the US history to 1877 book did, and is far easier to follow through the context it delivers. If you need to take both the US history to 1877 CLEP and the American Government CLEP, definitely begin with the history CLEP as there is a ton of bleed-over into American Government.

As far as the negatives mentioned by the other reviewers, there are a few minor editing errors, but nothing truly distracting. The author hints at his own bias, but not overtly, and not in a way that leads him to neglect covering both sides of the issues discussed. These are insignificant issues, and should not persuade you away from this well-written book.

Purchased this book to use as a reference for learning AutoCAD in school. It didn't answer ANY queries for my homework. Didn't touch on many topics like how to print out line-weights from color to black (not "gray scale"). The "step-by-step" lessons often go off into other side bar discussions. Had to return.

This book is a game changer!!!!

When an author writes a book, the hours or research, fact checking, studying, and proofreading are all a sign of a contribution to his readers. This book is filled with a type of wisdom that is uncommon in this day and age. It brings a whole new depth to the importance and strength of a woman. In a time where the divorce rate is above 50%, truly absorbing and applying the information in this book can change that statistic. I encourage all women and even the men to read this book regardless of your spiritual beliefs, everyone can learn something from this masterpiece. I am amazed at how well broken down the scriptures were, almost to a molecular level. I picked it up and could not put it down, I read it straight thru in about 3 hours. This was a great work of art, I appreciate and enjoyed reading this book. This book is the culmination of hundreds of hours of intense research condensed into a format that can easily be absorbed in a few hours. Well worth the time and money.

This Book FORCES You To See The Power And Beauty In Our Black Queens

I HIGHLY recommend this book. It's funny because I'm only on page 10 and I'm blown away by the in depth knowledge and wisdom it has provided thus far. I couldn't wait til the end to give my review as I'm already satisfied Lol....

Ladies, you will absolutely love this read, whether you follow the Bible or not. This is a new level of respect for women encoded in the text. Fellas, this is a must read for you as well, as it helps gain more understanding of the importance of our women in the spiritual development and growth for ourselves as well as our Nation!

Matriarchs Of The Covenant.......A Must Read!!

What an amazing book! Avdiel Ben Levi has done a wonderful job presenting the richness of who the biblical Matriarchs were. He actually then goes a step further and reveals from a Hebraic standpoint, the depth and essence of who women were created be in a way that moves far beyond the traditional definitions. It is obvious as you go from page to page that he has a real passion for the Hebrew language and the ability to dig out the nuggets associated therein. As a woman I appreciate the impact this book will have primarily on those that have a primitive view of the roles and accomplishments of our biblical Matriarchs and women as a whole. This is a must read, not just for women; but more so for the man that wants to understand the God given gift and value of the women in his life today.

About the Author

Randy Jones was the original cowboy in The Village People. The band, perhaps best known for hits like Macho Man and Y.M.C.A, sold 50 million albums, earned 45 Gold and Platinum record certificates around the globe, performed in worldwide tours, starred in its own camp classic film, and made the cover of Rolling Stone. Since leaving the band in the early 1990s, Jones has continued a career of stage acting and music performance. Since 2004, he has starred with Cathy Rigby in the musical Meet Me in St. Louis and also starred in two stage musicals in New York City, Sodom & Gomorrah: The Musical and I Want to Be Rosie, about the life and career of Rosemary Clooney. He debuted his solo act in Trump's Taj Mahal in 2005, and in the fall of 2006 released his first solo album in 20 years.

Mark Bego is a professional writer who has authored 45 books involving rock n' roll and show business, with two New York Times bestsellers, a Los Angeles Times bestseller, and a Chicago Tribune bestseller. Bego's subjects have ranged from Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Madonna, The Monkees, and Bonnie Raitt, to Julia Roberts and Leonardo DiCaprio. Bego also authored the Rock & Roll Almanac published in 1996. He has written articles for People, US, Cosmopolitan, Celebrity, and Billboard, was Editor-in-Chief of Modern Screen magazine from 1983 to 1985, and Film Editor for country music's Twang magazine in 1996 and 1997.
