Excellent pratical applications of math, applied to eye opening data.

Fantastic text book. The old adage of "when am I ever going to use this" is null and void here. Real world problems that are highlighted by raw data. The problems let you use some cool math to come to some staggering numbers. I was always skeptical about the whole environmentalism trend, but when you literally do the math, you can't help but be concerned and pro-active. Any class that uses this book promises to be influential.
